DAY 1.
Eden Marina > Beau Vallon
After embarking at Marina Eden, we set sail towards Beau Vallon Bay. We will stop for our first snorkelling and lunch at one of the beaches in the north of Mahe Island. After lunch, we will sail deeper into Beau Vallon Bay, where we will anchor at one of the longest and widest beaches in the Seychelles. Here we will spend the afternoon and first night at anchor on the catamaran. We will enjoy the sunset, and after dinner there will be an opportunity to visit the cool beach bars with music for those who wish.
Day 2.
Beau Vallon > Anse Georgette > Anse Lazio
After breakfast, we set off on an approximately 4-hour crossing to the island of Praslin. We will stop for lunch at the beautiful Anse Georgette, which borders a luxury golf course that can be accessed directly from the beach. After relaxing here for a while, we will have another short 20-minute cruise to Anse Lazio beach, which is considered one of the most beautiful beaches not only in the Seychelles but in the world. We will again enjoy some free time for entertainment, both before and after dinner, as we anchor here for the second night of our cruise.

DAY 3.
Anse Lazio > St. Pierre > Cote D’Or (Praslin) > Curieuse
Morning coffee, a short relaxation in the blue ocean, breakfast and we sail towards Praslin’s longest bay and beach, Cote D’or, and the famous islet of St Pierre, which is ideal for snorkelling and one of the Seychelles’ most photographed landscapes. There we will have lunch, after which we will head to Curieuse, where we will have the opportunity to see the famous giant tortoises as it is their natural reserve. For dinner and our third night together on the catamaran, we will anchor at this very spot and, in case of inclement weather, we will sail to a calm bay off Cote D’or.
DAY 4.
Curieuse > Big Sister > Coco Island > Felicite
Our fourth day, fortified, of course, by a nutritious breakfast, begins with an approximately 1-1.5 hour cruise to the private island of Big Sister (Grande Soeur), where you’ll enjoy its pristine setting and spend time on a paradise beach (just make sure you get to the other side of the island – paradise hides there). There, our Chef will prepare a BBQ lunch on the beach. After lunch, we return to the yacht and sail to Coco islet, which is classified as a marine national park with its unique flora and fauna and wonderful corals. We will then head towards the island of Felicite where we will anchor for an evening snorkelling, dinner and, of course, another overnight stay, now in its fourth year.

DAY 5.
Felicite > La Digue
After breakfast we will head towards La Digue, which is considered to be the most beautiful and one of the cleanest and least transformed by man of the Seychelles inner islands. We will sail around La Digue from the south along the beautiful 3 beaches, Anse Cocos, Petite Anse and Grand Anse, which are well worth seeing for their amazing granite formations. If weather conditions allow, we will anchor here until lunch. We will then head towards the harbour on La Digue, opposite which we will anchor for the rest of the afternoon and our fifth night. The harbour is a great starting point for exploring all of La Digue. Here you can hire bicycles or hire a melex with driver and explore the whole island with their help. We suggest starting from the north-eastern beaches that lead to the end of the road at Anse Fourmis. Along the way, make a stop at the picturesque national park and at the famous Anse Source d’Argent. The tour is crowned by the Grand Anse from the land side, previously seen during a cruise from the ocean. For those with a bit of stamina, it is possible to walk the jungle path from the Grand Anse, through the Petite Anse to the Anse Cocos, but you will need about 1.5-2 hours (there and back) and you should bring at least 1 litre of drinking water per person, as the terrain is demanding.
We don’t need to rush – we will stay on La Digue for almost the whole of the next day to be able to both explore the island and spend time on the beach in the beautiful scenery. At the end of an eventful day, a delicious dinner will be waiting for us on the yacht. And what’s next? Nothing prevents you from heading back to the island to visit one of the bars serving tropical drinks with Creole music.
DAY 6.
La Digue > Baie Ste Anne (Praslin)
The morning on La Dique will traditionally greet us with a wonderful breakfast prepared by our Chef. There will also be a pre-prepared lunch waiting for everyone on the yacht at the appointed time, and otherwise we have free time until 4.30pm so that everyone can spend it on the island as they wish and carry out the plans that we lacked time for the previous day. At 5pm we raise anchor and head towards Baie Ste Anne (Praslin), where we will have dinner and spend our sixth night together traditionally at anchor.

DAY 7.
Baie Ste Anne > visit Vallée de Mai > St. Anne Marine Park (Mahe)
After breakfast, we will head to Praslin Island for a guided tour of the Vallée de Mai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where we will learn about the endemic species of Seychelles, including the famous Coco de Mer. On our return from the tour, a catered lunch will be waiting for us, after which we will make our way back to the island of Mahe. A final long cruise of about four hours to St Anne Marine National Park awaits us. We will anchor for the last seven nights at a lovely spot from where we can admire the island of Mahe and other surrounding smaller islands, while enjoying the sunset and a final delicious dinner on the catamaran.
DAY 8.
St. Anne Marine Park > Eden Marina
Without dragging our feet after breakfast, we take advantage of the last day of our holiday. Snorkelling on the nearby coral reef a must! Playing on the water equipment, taking a dinghy trip to the nearby enchanting beaches, catching the last of the tan – we hope these will be the moments that capture the wonderful memories of a holiday of a lifetime on our catamaran.
Around 1pm we are served lunch, after which we raise anchor for the last time and head to Eden Marina on Mahe Island. This is a short cruise of about 20 minutes allowing us to enjoy the beauty of the Seychelles from the deck of a yacht for the last time. We dock at the marina around 2.30pm, so we have time to take one last shower before the trip, pack up and prepare to disembark. Before 17.00 the direct transfer to the airport starts.

OPINIONS

Robert

Cody, Amber, Griffin & Harrison
CONRAD – We felt immediately confident in Conrad’s skills and experience upon meeting him; he is humble and confident, was in quiet command of the crew, and 100% aware of what was occurring with all aspects of the boat’s workings. He was highly attuned to us as well. We met daily (or more frequently if needed) to plan our next steps and he advised us well based on conditions and our desired activities/stops. He had a very kind and grandfatherly way with our boys, and took time to show/explain/teach them about aspects of fishing, sailing and caring for the boat (all of which they LOVED). We also noticed him coaching and teaching Francis on the job in a kind and consistent way. His intimate knowledge and navigation of the islands and underwater features was flawless; we felt so comfortable, safe and cared for in his command. He was espiecally attentive to our water safety when we were snorkeling, swimming and out on the „toys;” when we were in the water, he was on constant watch at a distance that matched our skills (we like some freedom); it was clear that he was only a moment away should any incident occur. We felt confident exploring, and his confidence in us grew quickly as he watched our abilities in the water. Would absolutly LOVE to sail with him again! We genuinely miss being with him.
MICHEL – Michel is more reserved and serious in his manner, but did an outstanding job. He seems a bit hesitant about his english, but he missed nothing…his understanding was 100% on, including modifying for gluten free / dietary things. His food was interesting, super nourishing and he happily modified plans when we needed more quick/basic food for our kids. It seems we never saw him NOT in the galley – he was so diligent in his planning and prep, and kept the galley absolutely spotless. I can’t think of a single dish he prepared that I didn’t like; lots of fresh, healthy fruit/veg based things per our request. We also caught two fish during our trip. Michel immediately filleted our catches, we enjoyed sashimi that he prepared and he grilled the remainder the following night. We had great variety.
FRANCES – Frances is warm and joyful. His presence was a great fit for our family. He was SO playful in the best „big cousin” kind of way with our boys; he has an excellent way with kids, and both boys considered him a friend pretty quickly. He was ALWAYS present to help with everything we were doing. Always actively offering a hand. He did a good job patiently and accurately keeping communication/planning flowing between us and Conrad. It was clear that Conrad was coaching him in a very positive way, and he responded with enthusiasm. His warm, open demeanor was a great match for us; it seems he’d really be a great asset to any family with kids. Overall, getting to know the Seychelles better through our time and talking with the crew was an enormous highlight of our experience. I’d not hesitate to hire all three again. They worked great together as a team, very positive attitudes and easy communication.
BOAT – Our first impression of the boat was beautiful; the crew greeted us with confidence, big smiles, and much enthusiasm about beginning our journey together. The whole vessel was EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN when we arrived, and the crew worked well together to keep it so throughout the week. Cabins were spacious and comfortable, we loved having the upper deck space on the bridge so we could spread out when needed, and the covered stern dining table was a MUST on sunny days. It had just enough space for all of the water toys, and was perfect for snorkeling and playing off of. We definitely met our top goals of 1. Exploring and 2. spending lots of time in the water. The Seychelles were a beautiful destination, the water is BLUE and warm. The wildlife encounters were amazing and the boat made such a wonderful mode of transportation. We very much enjoyed our excursions off the boat (both land and water based). The team was always prepared with a driver and transportation when we disembarked for a land based excursion. The Valle de Mar excursion was beautiful, ancient feeling and a good couple of hours on land. We all enjoyed Curieuse Island. Amber and I spent time there 10 years ago, it was special to take our boys back and be able to share with them our old camp. They were amazed by the Aldabra Tortoise, the giant sand crabs and mud skippers. We hiked the island and had a beautiful time. We also really liked LaDigue but don’t feel enough time was spent on the island. I could have spent the week on the boat touring and playing in the ocean. At the end of the week it would be nice to get off at LaDigue for a couple of days then catch the ferry back to Mahe for flights. This would be a great way to make a 10 day itinerary. We had a great time and as mentioned above, we look forward to more yachting.
